MAFS too strong for the competition

Another 1.48m for Nine as Married at First Sight tops Tuesday.

Married at First Sight‘s second outing this year has drawn 1.48m viewers and topped viewing on Tuesday.

It’s also up compared to 2024’s second episode of 1.28m.

MAFS was around double The 1% Club (779,000) then 7:30 (733,000), Dr Karl’s How Things Work (595,000) and I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here (586,000).

Seven News 1.42m was ahead of Nine News at 1.19m.

  1. Nine would be happy, already (as they’d hoped but also expected) dominating most timeslots and metrics, especially east coast. No doubt helped by that lucrative launch pad of the Aus Open including a 50% share and 4m+ tuning-in at some stage (13m+ for the fortnight) the night before Married launch.

  2. What is the attraction of Married At First Sight I do not understand why people are watching it in droves I will stick with I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here

  3. I’m A Celebrity comes 4th, with a little over a third of the number of Married viewers.

Not looking good with all the publicity it gets –
Yet Robert Irwin will still likely be nominated for a Gold Logie.

    1. MAFS is a beast so IAC is not alone in that regard. Logies aren’t purely based on ratings and RI is a natural performer, so good luck to him. Hard to recall someone coming out of the gate so strong as he did last year.
