As some readers have noted, Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. has been withdrawn from FOX8 programming, after plans to screen next Wednesday night, October 14th.
A Foxtel spokesperson advises, “Unfortunately we had to push back the start dates due to delivery issues, so it is no longer premiering next week.
“At this stage we don’t have a premiere date for Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D Season 3, but are hoping to know more in the next few weeks.”
FOX8 will now premiere Stitchers in its place, moving from 9:30pm to 8:30pm.
The screening would have been an Australian premiere for the series, which has previously enjoyed its premiere on Seven, and attracted some media comment.
The third season already premiered in the US late last month. It isn’t clear if the series will still premiere on Pay TV at this stage.

Are there any new developments or updates?
In a word: nope.
Delivery issues?
Either Foxtel has simply bumped it because there’s too much stuff on Wednesdays already or Seven is delaying the deal by embargoing SVOD rights or something so that it doesn’t go up against The Blacklist.
Looks like it will be next before before Agent Carter air in this country.
Delivery issues? WTF, how is this a thing when those in the know can go online and find 1080p HD copies just hours after it airs in the US. I hope this is more on copyrights issue for fast tracking as ‘delivery issue’ sounds like crap to me. And fast tracking shouldn’t be an issue now as the first ep aired over a week ago in the US, so hardly fast tracked anymore.
I’m still pissed that channel 7 gave up on agents of shield & gave it to foxtel AOS was doing well on channel 7 especially season 2 I hate it that all the superhero shows are gone to Foxtel not everyone wants Foxtel I heard it’s just the same as FTA with More ads we probably have to wait till have way through 2016 to watch AOS or arrow but then FTA never got the flash & that will probably never happen
Most TV shows out of the US have built in ad break spots and Fox8 is one channel than has ads to help pay for content, no more or less than FTA when it comes to the number of breaks or total length. That’s why shows like this are 40-45 min long for the ads.
They can’t deliver it. Can’t get a season pass from iTunes for it eather why? Cause I bet ya they locked it down like game of thrones.
Any news on whether this will end up on FTA after shown on Fox yet David?
No news either way. It happens sometime but I don’t have any specific info.
I was wondering why I hadn’t seen an ad for it. Oh well, been busy with other shows coming back and premiering, so can certainly wait to see Sheild. I havn’t even seen Avengers Age of Ultron, so it’ll give me more time to see that before Sheild returns.
What a shame. Unlike foxtel to do this so we should cut them a bit of slack. Hopefully it will be sorted out soon, was looking forward to it. At least we have arrow and the flash to keep us going until then.
would have though moving from fta to paytv would mean more reliability, although even without any issues would have been 2 weeks delayed
This is frustrating and i hope it can be resolved soon. AOS is way better than the DC shows that fox 8 are showing and with Captain America Civil War opening in the new year there is always a great tie in between the show and the Marvel Films.
And Australians download a lot of TV shows why…
Any idea what ‘delivery issues’ are? Did they go over there broadband download allowance? Surely its not physical copies.
They couldn’t open their downloaded file…
Its likely Channel 7 still has the first play rights and told Foxtel “No”
In the past Foxtel had issues getting overnight delivery of tapes from the content distributor and then feed this into the playback system
Noooooo! So close! Here’s hoping that these “delivery issues” won’t mean FOX8 will pass on the show.
