Oops. F-Bomb tweets on ELEVEN
ELEVEN is publishing tweets from viewers on its official website, but not all of them are vetted first.

Some viewer tweets using “@eleven_tv” are being published on the official website for ELEVEN before they are being moderated.
The auto-publishing of tweets has resulted in some rather racy messages appearing on the site before moderators have a chance to delete them.
Here is an edited version of one that was published last weekend:
“eleven_tv what the f*** is wrong with you? Why do you show Cash Scam instead of @CraigyFerg on Friday nights?” You can see the uncensored screenshot here.
A TEN spokesperson told TV Tonight, “Unfortunately we can’t control what people post on Twitter and in order to keep our sites fresh and up to date we often pull automatically pull tweets in that feature the Eleven #tag – this is done live without pre-moderation.
“We endeavor to monitor the tweets and mentions that come through in a post-moderated way but this can only ever be part time as we can’t monitor 24/7.”
Today ELEVEN launches new music show The Loop and will include Tweets live on air. Hopefully, moderated ones!

Totally agree with him! “Southern Cross Ten” are pathetic! Cutting shows for their own local crap and mangling Ten’s branding, absolute joke, stop it!
Pretty dopey response.
I can’t believe a profanity like that still makes headlines.
Max: Firstly, as this is a personal blog I write stories about all sorts of TV related stuff, from big breaking news to reactions to a single scene. I often use an “Oops” for rather silly stuff. But as other readers point out it leads to bigger questions of what may slip through the net under the ELEVEN brand, including the risk of Defamatory tweets.
@Neil They are starting Toasted tv on 11 in a month
I think they want people to watch the hot 30 countdown which i hate
Why was Video Hits axed to be replaced by the same thing?
I see SC10 has dropped The Brady Bunch in the morning as well for infocommercials.
“eleven_tv what the f*** is wrong with you? Why do you show Cash Scam instead of @CraigyFerg on Friday nights?”
I was thinking the same thing last Friday, but didn’t Twitter it. LOL
Got a valid point no matter what, it also raises another question, why at 3:30pm instead of Cheers there’s an infomercial on. Southern Cross TEN and ELEVEN have a lot to explain.
Did they answer the question?
What’s wrong with swearing? I think the web/online communities should not be censored.
The Loop is quite good. I think Scott Tweedie looks really natural. Not much else to tune into on a Saturday morning so this will easily become my regular.
Sounds like the same brain that thought up the Qantas promotion has moved to TEN.
“this is done live without pre-moderation”. Boy, is this open to abuse. Watch out for some legal/defamation action from someone somewhere on something TEN.
RE The Lanch of The Loop – I’m so happy to see that Southern Cross Ten thinks it’s a better idea to play “Country Music TV”. *I think I’ll die if I use any more sarcasm*
F-bomb or not, it’s a valid question.
It’s 2012, I think we can all live with a few swears.
It’s not really a big deal anyway but couldn’t they easily have a blacklist that filters out tweets with swearing.
