New 10 sitcom Mr. Black has made a format sale to the US.
The comedy, created by Adam Zwar & CJZ, has been sold to FOX Entertainment-owned production company, SideCar.
The project, which featured Stephen Curry in the title role, will enter script development under executive producer Gail Berman. The US version will remain a single cam comedy.
Finn, a nice sensitive young man who is totally in love with his girlfriend, suddenly finds himself face to face with her father, Mr. Black, a football loving, conservative, straight arrow, who constantly questions if Finn is man enough.
Mr. Black marks the third Zwar comedy to sell to the US with Wilfred, which had 4 seasons, and a format sale of Lowdown.
10 is yet to announce a second season.

Fox seems to really love Aussie formats. MKR, Sisters (renamed Almost Family) and now this.
They’re also remaking Moody Christmas.
I wonder what is the Collingwood equivalent in the USA.
That would be the team the American Mr Black would go for.
Wow…??
