A teaser photo for Around the World in 80 Days, starring David Tennant has been released.
Seven was an investor in this series, through its British production co-venture Slim Film + TV, which it sold last month.
Tennant will play legendary adventurer Phileas Fogg, who has to use a series of bizarre contraptions and his own ingenuity to complete the titular challenge.
The reimagining of the Jules Verne classic sees Ibrahim Koma as sidekick Passepartout and Leonie Benesch as Abigail Fix, a journalist who joins the voyage to chronicle the experience.
The 8 part series is written by Life on Mars’ Ashley Pharoah amongst others.
The series is expected in 2021, but should still screen on Seven.

This looks quite entertaining! I’ll certainly be tuning in to watch when it airs on Seven!
with the way shows are being redone in this day and climate , surprised the roles are as they are and not changed around like some other reboots
