It looks a bit like Escape to the Country or Escape from the City. These houses and properties look opulent and there is a sense of luxury from the preview, which is a small point of difference with the other programs. Luxury was also one of the appeals of Grand Designs. This has potential to do well, I think.
I couldn’t agree with you more my friend as it’s now finally great to see something worth watching at a reasonable hour. If it screams Escape to the Country, so be it as it’s nice to see great Australian properties and Catriona is an absolutely fantastic Host for this what I’m sure will be a success. Looking forward to next Friday Catriona, already ….
Is this part of the House Hunters franchise?
I was just wondering this myself. They might be getting a letter from some lawyers soon, if not.
Australian networks are not used to ripping off international formats, there’s a reason it has this title, same as MasterChef Australia, Lego Masters Australia, Gogglebox Australia…
Just doesn’t have the House Hunters vibe at all. I’m tipping it will end up getting a name change pretty quickly.
