Nine xmas appeal raises $4.33m

Light Up Xmas Appeal helps the kids of Sydney Children’s Hospitals Foundation.

Saturday’s Light Up Xmas Appeal on Nine raised $4,330,707 million for the Sydney Children’s Hospitals Foundation.

The broadcast was hosted by David Campbell, Sylvia Jeffreys, Belinda Russell, Richard Wilkins, Tim Davies, Lara Vella and Erin Molan.

Nicola Stokes, CEO at the Sydney Children’s Hospitals Foundation, said: “We are so thankful for the overwhelming support that we have received by the community in this year’s Light Up Xmas Appeal. Thanks to the profound generosity of our Movement of Many, who fight for the health and wellbeing of all children in this ever-changing world, we are honoured to have raised $4,330,707 million helping to impact more children’s lives today and future proof the health of many more young lives tomorrow.

“Together with their support, we are able to help give families the greatest gift of all this Christmas and light up the faces of sick kids, wherever they may getting treatment or spending the festive season. The funds raised from the appeal are directed to the front line of children’s healthcare – from the hospital wards to the treatment rooms, the research labs and emergency transport to the outreach centres and beyond.

“With the support of the community behind us, Sydney Children’s Hospitals Foundation can go all in, changing the landscape of children’s healthcare for all kids, from toddlers to teenagers, those with common injuries to those fighting rare disease, those who can be cured and those who want a fighting chance. I express my deepest gratitude to everyone who has shown their support to help all sick kids, no matter where, no matter what.”

Donations can still be made until 31 December at www.schf.org.au or call 1800 770 122.
