Chrissie Swan and Georgie Tunny join Project next week

Chrissie Swan and Georgie Tunny will join Waleed Aly and Peter Helliar on The Project desk from Monday, while Carrie Bickmore takes a break.

“Chrissie and Georgie are well loved by all at The Project, so I couldn’t think of anyone better to be on the show until I return in a few months,” said Bickmore.

Chrissie will host on Mondays, and Georgie will host on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

“In the spirit of saying ‘yes’ to things that scare me a little bit (actually a lot), and pushing myself out of my comfort zone, I have accepted the challenge to fill in for Carrie once a week until she returns home from her overseas family adventure! I am so excited. See you on Mondays on The Project,” said Chrissie Swan.

Tunny added: “I cannot wait to get started! I’ve been working with The Project team over the last four years and they really are some of the best and most talented people in the industry.

“I’ve always been drawn to The Project‘s central ethos – news delivered differently – and think it’s so important to tell the stories of everyday Australians and help them make informed decisions, whatever they may be. Carrie’s been a great supporter of mine, and though they are massive shoes to fill, I’m looking forward to the challenge!”
