Crime drama Holding premieres next week on SBS.

This is a 4 part series based on the debut novel of the same name by Graham Norton. Directed by Kathy Burke, it premiered in the UK in March.

Holding is set in the insular fictional village of Duneen, West Cork, on the edge of Ireland, a place with its own climate and rhythms. When the body of long-lost local legend Tommy Burke is discovered, local police officer Sergeant PJ Collins (Conleth Hill), a gentle being who hides from people and fills his day with comfort food and half-hearted police work, is called to solve a serious crime for the first time in his career, and he must finally connect with the village he has tried hard to avoid.

Episode One:
When human remains are found in a sleepy Irish village, Sergeant PJ Collins finally has a genuine crime to solve, but the gruesome discovery threatens to expose a lifetime of secrets.

Thursday, 12 May at 9.30pm on SBS.

  1. Oh it is wonderfully weird and dont expect laugh out loud hahaha because it is Graham Norton. It is different. Love seeing Siobhán McSweeney in something different and being body confident. That will make sense when you see it.
