Good news for Dick Wolf fans with US franchises Law & Order, Law & Order: SVU, Law & Order: Organized Crime, Chicago Fire, Chicago PD, Chicago Med all renewed for new seasons.
All are renewed for 22 episodes except for Organized Crime at 13 episodes.
“We understand the emotional connection our audience has with these characters and we can’t wait to bring more of their stories to the forefront next season,” said Lisa Katz, President, Scripted Programming, NBCUniversal and Streaming. “A huge thank you to Dick and his amazing team who are the masters of producing incredibly compelling television week after week.”
“I’m pleased to continue my four-decade relationship with Universal Television and NBC,” said Wolf. “All six shows being picked up again is the ultimate accolade to our incredible casts, producers and writers. I’d also like to thank our loyal fans who have kept our NBC shows on the air for what will be a cumulative 84 seasons.”
All three Chicago series are among the top-rated primetime programs on US TV with SVU as NBC’s top show for the season across all platforms after 35 days of delayed viewing.

Hi David
Any word on when some Australian network or streaming will air the long awaited season 21 of law and order
The US has aired it already but not here in aus
Will post when advised.
I wish we could watch the Law & Order revival in Australia it’s been a year what’s going on why has nobody picked it up here
Tell me about it, I’m itching to get it on DVD yet all of SVU and OC has been aired and released on DVD, why not the mothership? 😭😭
It has been driving me bonkers that either 10 or 7 have not gotten it
I wish they could find one home here in Australia. With all the crossovers across franchises and brands, it’s hard to follow.
It’ll be Seven and Foxtel, who have just signed/renewed long-term and expensive output with Universal, the former have already seen the OG L&O, SVU and CI move to 7flix (Sundays and Tuesdays) and 7Plus, with Nine’s expiring very soon (you can see the exact dates on 9Now). As for 10, they’re still airing first run SVU. And agree hopefully someone picks up the resurrected L&O ASAP!
