Series by Australia's Northern Pictures is headed to a third season in the USA.

Love on the Spectrum U.S. has been renewed for a third season by Netflix, following a successful second season that ranked in the Global Top 10 for three weeks Variety has reported.

The series produced by Australia’s Northern Pictures will currently outlast its ABC original series at two seasons.

Peter Anderson, Managing Director of Northern Pictures tells TV Tonight, “Northern Pictures is thrilled that a third season has been confirmed for Love on the Spectrum U.S. which has seen incredible success globally, including prime-time Emmy Award recognition. It’s heartwarming to see audiences far and wide supporting the series and connecting with the participants through an original format co-created by Karina Holden and Cian O’Clery.

“We are very proud of our team and to be partnering again with Netflix on Love on the Spectrum U.S. which has evolved from the original ABC series here in Australia.”

Co-creator and Executive Producer  Karina Holden says: “Making this show with our Australian and U.S. crew has been a privilege, and has allowed us to learn and grow with each season. Taking on feedback and making sure that the series is embraced by the neurodiverse community is incredibly important to us as a team. It’s a show that contributes to a richer understanding of ourselves and the world around us, and we’re excited about how Season Three will unfold.”

Co-creator and Executive Producer Cian O’Clery says: “We’re excited to dive in and make another season of Love On The Spectrum, a series that has resonated globally, and we’re proud that it’s an Australian homegrown success. To announce the pick-up of another season on World Autism Awareness Day, with the amazing cast and their families on stage was a real honour. We look forward to sharing more love stories with the world.”
