Genre-bending US drama ends at two seasons.

Genre-bending US drama Outer Range has been axed by Prime Video after two seasons.

The first season debuted in 2022, while the second season dropped in its entirety only in May.

Josh Brolin led the cast, which also included Imogen Poots, Lili Taylor, Tamara Podemski, Lewis Pullman, Tom Pelphrey, Noah Reid, Shaun Sipos, Isabel Arraiza, Olive Abercrombie, and Will Patton.

Charles Murray served as showrunner and executive producer. Brolin was also an executive producer in addition to Brad Pitt and others.

  1. I agree with the comments here. Maybe Outer Range is not a sci-fi masterpiece but it almost got a bingeworthy tag from me which doesn’t happen that often nowadays. Unfortunately there are still a few story arc questions that wont get answered in this show, and this poses my often made criticism of U.S. productions and the need to develop more limited season sci-fi shows with a beginning a middle and an end. Prime Video must be budget cutting in my opinion, and the answer is simple and obvious where the budget cuts should have been made.

  2. *Sigh* Another good show on the streaming services getting the chop after only 1 or 2 seasons. These streaming sites are fast becoming a wasteland of unfinished shows.
