Anthony Callea and Tim Campbell are guest presenters on Postcards this Sunday, on a road trip to Bendigo.
Anthony and Tim hit Bendigo in preparation for their upcoming tour of regional Victoria (in Dja Dja Wurrung Country). First they enjoy the goodies at the award-winning Bridgewater Bakehouse before soaking up some local history at the Ulumburra Theatre, which builds a lunch appetite they satisfy at Allium Dining.
Shane Delia takes a tour of the foodie mecca in Clayton (Boonwurrung and Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung Country). He starts at PBK Noodles, chatting to the owner, Michale Samsir, and slurping on delicious noodles. Then it’s a stroll through the aisles at the Hong Kong Supermarket, immersing himself in the endless Asian grocery items. Shane ends his day at Modu with a more-ish Chinese feed.
This week Kris Smith flies north to Bribie Island in Queensland (Kabi Kabi and Joondoburri Country). His day begins with a walk on Sylvan Beach before checking out the latest Mater Prize Home up for grabs. For the rest of the afternoon he hangs out at The Oyster Shed Beach Club at the Sandstone Point Hotel.
Meanwhile, Madeline Spark is exploring the exciting Morris Moor bayside precinct in Kingston (Boonwurrung Country). After coffee and a pastry at Penny for Pound she heads to the Fun Lab, where she orders a milkshake and gets amongst the bowling, mini golf and other games on offer. She then heads to the foodie hub and enjoys a pub classic at the Stomping Ground Brewery and Beer Hall.
5:30pm Sunday February 9 on Nine (Melbourne).
