No surprises to see Kath and Kim shooting on the Sunshine Coast.

The Queensland shoot was tipped off here a few weeks ago after more behind-the-scenes info was revealed in the comedy’s move from ABC to Seven.

Having the Seven budget allows the show to exploit more locations, which was a big problem when we saw Da Kath & Kim Code. All those European references and not a patch of foreign soil in sight.

But are reports that this is the first time the show is on the road right? What about that episode where we met Sharon’s mum in a Gold Coast hospital? Don’t tell me it wasn’t really Queensland!
