Spoiler: Is True Blood making a time leap?
Ryan Kwanten has told the Hot 30 Countdown that when Season Four begins it will be a full year after the end of Season Three.
‘Jason Stackhouse’ will be a full-fledged member of the Bon Temps’ police department (aka ‘hot cop’?).
While it might be simple to presume it would logically be a year since the drama last wrapped, in TV time it’s more common to pick up from where we left off.
At least it’s not as drastic as Desperate Housewives‘ 5 year fast forward. That was some leap of faith. I have to say that despite my fears it actually invigorated the show. Maybe they should try that again this season?
Season Four is expected in the US in June.

Nick Cave & Neko Case have also re recorded The Zombies song “She’s Not There” for the first episode of season four. Should be good!
Dying for the start of the new season …
Perfectly content with the “one year later” idea … does not jump too far and gives them time to fix a couple of things …
What? The whole “Jason wants to be a cop” story-line was one of the worst parts of season 3. It was ridiculous that Andy Belfour (sp?) would let himself be bribed into allowing Jason to become a receptionist/janitor at the police station, yet alone an actual police officer.
I would have preferred to Jason’s “one year later” storyline to have shown him now a drug-dealer with the were-panthers from the incest-town that he discovered thanks to his inbred girlfriend in season 3.
Hopefully this will be a means to remedying the fact that the end of season 3 was a total crock!
