Popular genealogy series Who Do You Think You Are? returns to SBS next week for its ninth season.
It begins with Eurythmics singer and political activist Annie Lennox, and also includes Sir Patrick Stewart, actress Samantha Womack, and actress Celia Imrie.
As previously reported an episode with Coronation Street‘s William Roache, recorded in 2012, will not air.
Episode One – Annie Lennox
Eurythmics singer and political activist Annie Lennox, whose grandmother’s father died when she was only three, knows little about this branch of the family. Annie’s episode uncovers an extraordinarily dark tale of tangled family relationships blighted by illegitimacy and poverty. On her journey, Annie also discovers the humiliation her unmarried great, great grandmother suffered before the Scottish church.
Tuesday, 3 September at 7.30pm on SBS ONE.

Saw this series a few months ago on Foxtel. Well worth watching. Annie’s family history is compelling.
Saw the ad this week for Annie Lennox. Thank you for the news about Patrick Stewart.
Annie Lennox and Patrick Stewart? What a great lineup!
David, has SBS or GO! aired the South Park episodes “Bloody Mary”, “200” and “201”?
