ANZAC Day coverage: ABC TV

ABC coverage of ANZAC Day will include marches in each state and the Gallipoli and Villers-Bretonneux services, marking the 99th anniversary of the action by Australian, New Zealand and other Commonwealth troops in 1915.

Michael Rowland and Virginia Trioli will anchor the coverage from 4:25am, starting with the Sydney Dawn Service, live from Martin Place.

News Breakfast will then cross to the National Dawn Service from the Australian War Memorial at 5:30am and include highlights of the Melbourne Dawn Service.

At 9:00am we break out into our state coverage of the ANZAC Day Marches for 2014.

Following the Marches ABC1 and ABC News 24 will simulcast the Gallipoli Dawn Service from ANZAC Cove in Turkey. This will be immediately followed by the Memorial from Villers-Bretonneux in France at approx 1:30pm. The simulcast ends at 3.00pm.

The Lone Pine Memorial Service will screen live on ABC1 and ABC News 24 across Australia at 5pm AEST, with the Governor-General’s ANZAC Day Address at 6:55pm.
