Season Four of Father Brown begins on ABC next month.

Mark Williams returns for 10 new episodes. This season includes the unexpected murder of a B grade movie director, the hunt for a missing corpse, tangled up in a crazy revenge plot and he uncovers the secret life of a murdered pilot.

Other returning characters include, Mrs McCarthy (Sorcha Cusack), Lady Felicia (Nancy Carroll), Inspector Mallory (Jack Deam) and Sergeant Goodfellow (John Burton).

These episodes premiered in the UK in January.

Episode One:
Demon Brides a B grade horror movie, directed by the unpopular Vivian Wolsey (David Schofield) comes to film in Kembleford. During filming, Vivian’s actress wife Bebe (Deirdre Mullins), misses her lines. Vivian berates her and turns to the new, and younger apple of his eye Paulette (Molly Hanson) to demonstrate how to deliver a line.

Meanwhile Mrs McCarthy (Sorcha Cusack) is up in arms about such ungodliness being filmed in Kembleford until Lady Felicia (Nancy Carroll) introduces her to her old chum and film star Rex Bishop (Jonathan Firth) who Mrs McCarthy clearly has a crush on.

During a tour of the set the following day , Vivian’s dead body with a demon’s death mask stuck on his head is discovered. Father Brown is left wondering who is responsible and why would a successful actor like Rex star in a film like this?

7.30pm Saturday 9 April on ABC.
