Interesting to note that Sherlock: The Abominable Bride will screen on Nine later this month, following its premiere in Stan in January.
The period story will screen 9:10pm Sunday August 14 on Nine.
Stan recently announced a life deal for any future episodes of the mystery series, with three more episodes coming in 2017.
Steven Moffat recently said, “Hopefully, we’ll do more. I find it hard to imagine that we won’t. But in terms of a specific plan, there are ideas that we haven’t gotten to yet.”
Benedict Cumberbatch said, “It’s about what’s actually right for the show, to be honest, and that has to be judged very carefully.
“It’s a painful thing to say, but maybe series four is it. Who knows? I don’t know. I don’t want to say this is it, because we have too much fun doing it.”
Sherlock: The Abominable Bride will see Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman reprise their roles as Holmes and Watson, and the return of series regulars Rupert Graves, Una Stubbs, Louise Brealey and Amanda Abbington, in a one-off episode set in Victorian London in 1895.
Sherlock: The Abominable Bride has been co-written by Steven Moffat and Mark Gatiss, is directed by Douglas Mackinnon (Doctor Who, Line of Duty) and is produced by Hartswood Films for BBC One and co-produced by Masterpiece.Â

I can’t imagine who would be watching this. It’s for Sherlock fans and we’ve all long seen it.
