  1. I don’t think any true Survivor fan would’ve anticipated how good the production value of Aus Survivor has been these first 2 seasons. The homage it pays to its US original is pleasing to many fans. Even Jonathon’s Jeff Probst-isms of looking down at his feet when he says to the survivors ‘come on in guys’ as they enter a challenge shows how much the producers of Aus Survivor respect us as fans.

Personally, the mix of players this season was okay. The big-time players were very big and swung for the fences early. If AK, Henry, Luke, Locky, Tessa, Sarah hung around for the final few weeks then we’d all be salivating. Unfortunately, they were taken down by lesser players who then somehow shied away from making other big moves so as to not become the next big threat. Getting this mix of players right is crucial. It makes or breaks a season. Ten ‘almost’ got it right this…

      • Well they are important for commercial stations as they assist in negotiating commercial charges to clients.

I think Survivor did just average and the reason may be why I didn’t watch it. Promo’s showed too many scheming and nasty characters and we stay away from reality shows with staged drama and shows where producers deliberately place nasty types to upset the harmony.

Ten got what they deserved – very average ratings, even for TEN standards 🙁
