[SBS/8:30pm] Future Focus: Five Ways To Save The World – Sea levels are rising, the weather is changing and the world is being transformed by global warming faster than anyone anticipated. But it’s not all doom and gloom; some of the world’s most eminent scientists are on the case, in the face of imminent catastrophe. In this thought-provoking program, they present five radical, large-scale ideas that could save us from disaster. Some of their plans include shielding the earth from the sun with extra clouds, storing ‘artificial trees’ underground and using heavy artillery to fire sulphur into the stratosphere, thereby producing a layer of sulphate aerosols around the Earth that stops the Sun’s heat from being absorbed.
