Nine goes to the movies

The first week of summer programming is now locked in for the Nine Network.

Most of the news has already been published here before: The Big Bang Theory and the return of Waking the Dead, Extreme Makeover, Survivor, New Adventures of Old Christine, Men in Trees and King of Queens.

On most nights of the week Channel Nine will air a movie, although oddly, not in the sentimental Sunday night 8:30 slot.

Nine also has a delayed telecast of the 2007 AFI Awards on Thursday December 6 from 9:30pm. Hosted by Geoffrey Rush presenters will include Deborra-Lee Furness, Lisa McCune, Alan Dale and Antony LaPaglia. Sophie Monk will host a red carpet package.

  1. Has Nine mentioned whether any of these films will be in HD? Seven has launched their ersatz HD channel, TEN’s is about to start, but where is NINE in all this?

Still the one? I don’t think so.

And surely Big Bang Theory will be just too zany for NINE’s viewers.

  2. Thank god for Nine over the summer. Really looking forward to The Big Bang Theory and the return of Old Christine,The Closer,King of Queens & Men In Trees. Throw in Cold Case rpts and I may never leave Nine! Well maybe for Shark/Boston Legal the only shows on Seven worth watching.
