Productions wind down in Canada

The writers’ strike continues to ripple across US productions, regardless of where they are located.

A number of productions are shot across the border in Canada, but even there the fallout is being felt.

In Vancouver Bionic Woman has now shut down production. It could prove a devastating blow to a show that is barely alive after sinking ratings and disappointing reviews.

Battlestar Galactica is said to be closing down today.

Aliens in America will close by the end of the month. Reaper is expected to join it by then too.

Supernatural will close on December 5, with Men in Trees and Smallville lasting until mid January.

Meanwhile, back in the US cast members on The Office and 30 Rock are being suspended on half pay for five weeks.
