Roberta Williams, divorced wife of Carl Williams (both of whom are portrayed in Underbelly) had a chat with radio hosts Kyle and Jackie O.

Questioned by Jackie O, Williams again made sure her feelings were known about the performance of actress Kat Stewart (emphasis on actress). She actually likened her to Kath Day Knight…

What was most interesting in the interview, however, was that Carl Williams is a fan of Jackie O. And she was very gracious in reply. Should it be mentioned here that he is a convicted murderer?

Here’s a little snippet of the chat….

Jackie: What do you think of the guy who plays Carl, is that accurate?

Roberta: Oh, he is a moron. Carl is certainly not like that.

Jackie O: Cos he portrays Carl as a bit of a dope…

Roberta: A dickhead.

Kyle: What’s Carl really like? We’ve only seen bits on the news. What’s Carl like as a husband?

Roberta: Carl’s great, he’s a really great, fun person and we had a really great friendship, Carl and I. And, Jackie, let me tell you too, when Carl rang me he said to ask you if you can send him a signed photograph because he loves you and thinks you’re gorgeous!

Jackie: That’s nice, I definitely will!

Kyle: Roberta, did Carl say anything about me?

Roberta: Carl said, ‘Roberta, don’t let Kyle get too cocky and go up there and slap him around a bit if he does!’

Jackie: How often do you see or talk to Carl?

Roberta: Carl has twenty five maximum calls per week, that’s all he’s allowed.

Kyle also fished for an interview with Carl Williams.

Kyle: If he’s got twenty five calls, why can’t he call us one morning? Can he talk to the media?

Roberta: No, he’s not allowed because they’ll take his calls.

Kyle: God, don’t do that, I don’t want to be responsible for him losing his privileges!

Roberta: Then he’ll really slap you around, Kyle!

  1. Is Kyle looking for a hitman? He seems to start feuds with everybody these days. Rove McManus seems to be his latest target on his everlengthening feud list.

  2. Ms Williams might be quick to criticise the show for its portrayal of her, but she seems to be lapping up the PR from it. But Why does the media give these people such importance??? Why elevate this woman, a convicted criminal if i recall correctly, to some sort of celebrity status?

    As for Carl Williams finding Jackie O attractive, well being locked in a maximum security prison cell 23 hours a day would do that to you I guess
