Top show of the week? A repeat.

After a dead heat the previous week, the fallout of ratings figures returned to a similar pattern with Seven edging ahead of Nine. Ironically it was Seven’s David Leckie who said “don’t judge me after Easter, judge me after May.”

Seven won Week 15 with 28.2% to Nine’s 26.6% and TEN’s 22.2%.

The ABC had 17.2% and SBS was up with 5.7%.

The biggest shock of the week is that the top show was actually a repeat: Border Security with 1.79m viewers.

So much for new ideas…

More info soon.

  1. Were viewers even aware that the episode was a repeat in the first place? Could they even tell? Thanks to the format of the show, and the sheer number of episodes produced, they probably couldn’t, and decided to sit down anyway.

Compare this to another popular show like House, where you can instantly tell if you’ve seen the show previously, and where repeat episodes show a noticeable decrease in viewers compared to first run episodes.
