BB: Where’s Travis?

It’s an eye that is the symbol of Big Brother and an eye that has resulted in Travis taken out of the house, after a practical joke led to body wash being squirt in his eye.

Travis tried to flush out chemical residue after the joke by Rory, Nobbi and Ben but complained that it was affecting his vision.

“It’s still all in my eye, like I can’t get it out,” he said.

Despite the incident, he then participated in Friday Night Live games, which saw him struggle. At one point he was hunched over with a bucket between his legs.

At one point Rory rested a hand on his back, suggesting Travis was feeling ill.

During the final round, Travis was not present at all on the ‘Losers’ Bench’.

Travis was not present on the lounge with the other housemates at the end of the game.

Duty of care has again been an issue for the reality series this year, following an accident with Rima during the first FNL. Travis had previously been diagnosed with shingles, a viral disease commonly linked with stress and low immunity.

Bullying may well need to be added to that list.

Forum users at BehindBigBrother and the official site are still speculating as to why Travis has not returned.

Statement from Big Brother 1:16pm:

Housemate Travis has temporarily left the House to receive medical treatment for an infected eye.

Early yesterday evening Travis was accidently squirted in the eye with Shower Gel by Ben. Immediately after the incident, Ben assisted Travis in washing out his eye with water. Travis went on and competed in FNL but complained that his eye was sore and he was feeling unwell.

The Big Brother house doctor was called to attend to Travis, and he recommended that Travis go to hospital to be treated and as a precaution, he stayed there overnight.

We are now waiting on the doctor’s approval for Travis to return to the House.

In typical Travis fashion, he is staying possumistic!
