Lost actor in no contest plea

Lost actor Daniel Dae Kim gets 72 hours community service for driving under the influence.

It must be the tropical climate. Lost stars keep landing into trouble for DUI -driving under the influence.

Admittedly Daniel Dae Kim, who plays Jin-soo Kwon, was arrested last October when a police officer spotted him driving erratically in Honolulu. His blood alcohol content was 0.168, more than double the legal limit. This week he pleaded no contest to the charges.

Michelle Rodriguez and Cynthia Watros were charged after they pleaded guilty to drink driving.

“…it just cannot happen again. It’s simply too dangerous.” said the judge.

“Believe me, sir, I do,” Kim replied.

Kim was ordered to pay a $US500 ($A625) fine, $US212 ($A265) in court fees and perform 72 hours of community service. Kim also had his driver’s licence revoked for six months and was subjected to a drug-and-alcohol assessment.

‘I’m just grateful and relieved that this matter has been resolved,’ he said after the hearing.

‘It’s been a pretty difficult time for my family and me. But I’m glad I had a chance to take responsibility for my mistake.’
