The first day of some big shows and OzTAM hits a technical error.

unpluggedNo ratings will be released today, following technical errors within OzTAM.

That’s just going to keep us all guessing on the figures for the Australian Open, So You Think You Can Dance and The Biggest Loser.

So go ahead and make your predictions on what the shows got.

We’ll find out the results tomorrow.

    of all days during the summer how could Oztam muck up the start of the most important week of the year, oh well i guess 2morrow will be a big day in the ratings page, we’ll find out so much from yesterday as well as how the mother vs 2.5 goes and how well 7 has promoted desperate housewives

    i think dance would do well because alot of the younger people would be wanting something different than tennis cause its boring!

  11. ratings arent even accurate. if packed to the rafters got 2 million viewers, all it means is that the majority of the 5000 people with the black boxes watched it, thus multiplied by the proportion of the population who watch tv, so there you have it.

    but then again people thought they were being out there when they predicted 1.5 for jelenas round 4 which turned out to get 1.7 and then thought they’d be extreeme and say 2mil for her quarter final which got 2.3 mil. the tennis has been much more succesful thn anyone thought this year. the fact that it was #1&2 playing and that federer was going for the record would have drawn some people in. i would go to the length of saying close to 3mil is a possibility. and well deserving it was a great match

  14. Dance was quite boring last night, TBL on the other hand was action packed, and not against the tennis in most states. The Mens final lived up to all expectaions, it could pull a huge number. The cricket also went down to the wire, but I don’t think it would have pulled in a big audience.

    hot property: 1.0mil
    behind enemy lines/tennis: 2.6mil. in recent years the figures ranged from 2.45- 2.8 and in 2005 was above 4mil. and seeings that the leadup has been one of the best rating in years i stand by my prediction of “atleast 2.6”

    ps. what happened in other states, in vic behind enemy lines was completely cut out and tennis went strait to the lost special, which i guess is good for lost having a 2mil lead in.

  24. Shall we put this down to Melbourne’s weather from last week, seemed to stuff up everything else….

    I’ll go TBL3 – 1.3 Million, SYTYCD2 – 1.75Mill, Tennis – 1.5 Million, given that today is the first day back at school and that it didn’t wrap up til about 1am.
