ABC will screen a documentary on the four Warner brothers – the movie pioneers who founded and ran Warner Bros. studios in Hollywood for over 50 years.

Promised as an inside story on Harry Warner, and his brothers, “honest Abe, visionary Sam, and volatile Jack” the film is written, directed and narrated by Cass Warner Sperling, Harry’s granddaughter.

It includes never-seen-before photos and footage, and unfolds through the eyes of family members and those who knew them personally, and who experienced the ‘Golden Years of Hollywood’ along with them.

The brothers rose from nothing to the heights of Hollywood. From opening their first storefront theatre by hanging a sheet on the wall and borrowing chairs from a funeral parlour, these four brothers built the first major studio with a social conscience.

The Brothers Warner airs 8:30pm Sunday May 3rd on ABC2 will be repeated on ABC1 Sunday, May 10 at 3:00pm.
