Bumped: Guerrilla Gardeners, The Simpsons

In a few weeks' time new Simpsons eps replace Guerrilla Gardeners -which moves to Sunday nights.

bart-lisaTEN is tweaking its post-Easter schedule.

It will move Guerrilla Gardeners from Wednesday nights to Sundays at 6pm instead of Simpsons repeats.

In its place new episodes of The Simpsons move from Friday nights to 8pm Wednesdays, where they will no doubt pull a bigger audience than they were on Fridays. But it will have to compete with Thank God You’re Here, the network’s former comedy, when it debuts on Seven a week later.

Repeats of Simpsons will simply replace the new eps on Fridays -and probably garner a similar number anyway.

Guerrillas renovates Sundays from April 19, while The Simpsons move in April 22nd.

  1. the hd eps are 2 eps away but with the 2 week Easter break means they should start airing hear in 4 weeks time, although they wont be in hd to to onehd being a 24hrs sport channel, the eps will still be in widescreen though.

  2. Finally! New Simpsons on a Friday night was just stupid. Though, it’s a shame it’s going up against TGYH. I also take Guerilla Gardeners’ timeslot move is the kiss of death? Then again, it might do well on Sunday nights.

  3. I’m happy that they’re moving Simpsons out of the Friday slot, but I would have preferred Tuesday or even Thursday, especially since it’s up against TGYH.

  4. I agree it is a smart move. I work Friday nights so I don’t see new simpsons, but now I will still miss them because TGYH will be on at the same time :(. But I honest to god are not liking the newer episodes. The Simpsons has changed too much from the classic 90s episodes which I love. I’ll be over at Camp Site 7 with my TGYH and my Family Guy.

  5. That would have been an excellent move all round….if TGYH wasn’t going to be The Simpsons eventual competition. It is going to get absolutely smashed.

  6. I agree this is smart, I’ve missed several Simpsons eps in the Friday night slot

@Michael – ch10 would be in the same place as Fox in the US :P

I hope the Yellow family goes and kicks ch7s butt.

  7. i was actually think a while ago that showing new simpson eps Fridays probably wouldn’t give ten as big ratings as say a Tuesday or Wednesday

  8. So now I need to choose between new Simpsons and new TGYH. Great. Although it was a neccessary move by TEN – GG was simply not doing enough in its timeslot and new Simpsons was being wasted on Friday, and even though I was very happy with it on Friday, clearly viewers don’t care if they’re watching Simpsons repeats or new eps!

  9. I am so amazed at how one single show can sustain my viewership of the ten network, The Simpsons, still as entertaining today as it was when i started watching it about 9 years ago. That said, some of the new eps are horribly boring becasue they try to copy family guy, which doesn’t work with the simpsons, but last week’s terrorist episode was funny. I love the classic episodes the most.

  10. Wow, that’s a really smart scheduling move.

I will follow Guerrilla Gardeners to Sundays and The Simpsons to Wednesdays. It’s much better than cancelling Guerrilla Gardeners. Much, much better.

Pfft, I’d rather watch new The Simpsons episodes any day over Channel 7’s stolen show.
