Inside the Actors Studio: Ricky Gervais

ricky-gervaisRicky Gervais sits Mr. James Lipton, the dean emeritus of the Actors Studio Drama School at Pace University, this Sunday night.

Gervais is introduced as a true triple-threat, having written, produced, and acted in many of his projects. From The Office, Extras, to Night at the Museum 2: Battle of the Smithsonian, as well as Flanimals, an animated adaptation of his beloved book.

It airs 9:30pm Sunday May 10th on Biography.

Meanwhile Mr. Lipton has just interviewed the cast of Family Guy. He says they were well behaved, telling one reporter, “They seemed very aware of the fact that we were in a university, that these were master’s degree candidates of the Actors Studio. They treated me rather respectfully. If you remember, one of the first things out of my mouth was [an expletive]. It was meant, of course, as a joke. But I wanted to establish the fact that I could see that they were all being on their best behavior. This is a university, and university students don’t have to be polite all the time.”

    • Hmmm it’s definitely in notes they sent me for May 3. Let me check if they changed it.
