All Saints goes under the scalpel

An unsurprising story emerged yesterday that All Saints will indeed see a production trim from 40 episodes a year to 22-28 episodes for 2010.
It follows a number of stories that the show was facing a production overhaul.
For cast and crew it means concluding work on the series in August instead of November.
This year the show returned with its Emergency Response unit, which would doubtless entail a significant production increase. But ratings have hovered around the 1.1m mark at 8:30pm -it was actually performing better at 9:30pm when it had the big lead in from Packed to the Rafters.
By any measure, the show has chalked up an impressive 11 years so far. Of course there were some who said it would not survive beyond the exit of Georgie Parker. Looks like that argument has been clearly decided.

sounds like cut backs, similar to theBill, only theBill had more to loose than AllSaints
Instead of “Going under the scalpel” I think they should just “pull the plug”.
Its still boring
when is seven going to announce a start date for their second sd channel ???? they have been able to launch one since january 1 2009 its now june 2009 whats going on at seven
The return of Georgie Parker, even as a guest for a few episodes, would definitely pique some interest in the show and might gain some old viewers who have moved on.
