‘Burn Notice’ star charged over drink driving

Burn Notice star Jeffrey Donovan has been charged with driving under the influence after an accident on the weekend in which he collided with -a police car. Ooops.

According to celeb news site  TMZ, the arresting officer first noticed Donovan after hearing “a loud tyre screech behind me.” The cop said he saw Donovan’s car swerve left to avoid hitting the police car.

When Donovan finally stopped, he said, “Sorry, I didn’t see the red light or your stopped car.”

41yo Donovan, who says his mistake was drinking Benadryl with 3 glasses of wine said later, “I really think I’m only borderline and not too drunk.”

If convicted he could get 6 months jail, but it is believed to be his first offence.
