In October Doctor Who fans in the UK get a look at the next instalment of The Sarah Jane Adventures, with its appearance by David Tennant.
The synopsis for his first episode indicates: The Doctor returns on the happiest day of Sarah Jane’s life – but a deadly trap is waiting for them all! As the strands of a clever and careful plan draw together, can even a Time Lord save Sarah Jane, on the day of her arch-enemy’s greatest triumph?
The Sarah Jane Adventures is a brand on Nickelodeon in Australia, with the last series airing in June. No word yet when it will air here. There is every possibility Aussies will see Tennant make his Who exit from the main series only to return in SJA.
That would be quite a time travel, even for Tennant.

Been looking forward to Series 3 of SJA for ages now … it is such a good show and Sarah Jane is the perfect who companion to have her own series … a lot like Doctor Who used to be in the old days … with much better scripts and effects of course! Not long now …

Sure but it actually wasn’t a mistake, it was just confusingly worded.
Mmmm, whilst I was actually indicating Tennant’s first episode I can see this could have been worded differently. I’ll clean that up…
David Tennant appears about a third of the way through the 3rd series of SJA, not the first episode.
I hope they promote this series properly this time. The June showing went by so fast I missed it completely.
After so long without the good Doctor we’ll have a rush towards the end of the year, can’t wait to see Waters of Mars and SJA, pity he didn’t show up on Torchwood 🙂
the first episode is “Prisoner of the Judoon” followed by “The Mad Woman in the Attic” and then “The Wedding of Sarah Jane Smith”
