Tomorrow on SBS, Les Murray travels to Melbourne to meet Mark Viduka, exclusively for The World Game.

Viduka opens up to Murray about his career, the Socceroos, the World Cup, and his future.

Murray also takes him on a trip down memory lane visiting the ground where it all began for Viduka as a teenager, and the MCG where Viduka experienced both highs and lows throughout a stellar career.

It airs Sunday from 5pm on SBS ONE.

Brilliant – it is great to see SBS still promoting football in this country (just about every association and club in Aus is now a “football” team) and it will be interesting to see what the great man says ahead of World Cup fever!! I for one can’t wait for the Cup to begin (just as long as we finish the ahead of the Kiwi’s). Football is huge in this country at a player level and it needs the support of networks like SBS to make it huge as spectator sport!! Thank you SBS and Thank you Mark Viduka!!

  2. Why say trying, it’s been football federation australia (FFA) for years.

    Maybe because players use their feet rather than hands wher ein Australia people funnily call football

  3. I always think it’s funny how we try to call soccer ‘football’ in Australia now, and yet our national team is still called ‘the Soccerroos’.
