Returning: Insight

Insight was due to return to SBS next week but with the announcement of the election it returns tomorrow night with “Game On”, taking the temperature of the electorate.

“In the run up to the election, we’ve recruited a group of swinging voters to follow the campaign,” presenter Jenny Brockie said.

“They’re a lively and eclectic group, from the most marginal electorates in the country. Each week they’ll be giving a frank assessment – on air and online – of the leaders and their policies,” she said.

“At this stage these voters are genuinely undecided,” Jenny Brockie said. “They’re a great barometer of public opinion and will have plenty to say about the election campaign. It will be up to the politicians to win them over.”

Insight will continue to cover a key election issue in depth each week.

And throughout the campaign, social media comment will be fed into the show live via online reporter, Johnny Luu. Nearly 5,000 Insight Facebook fans (www.facebook.com/InsightSBS) are already hotly debating election topics online. Each week Luu will pull together the social media trends from Insight’s various platforms and highlight individual comments.

“Covering a single issue in depth and giving voters a genuine voice is our great strength,” said Jenny Brockie. “It’s the show to watch to find out what’s really going on in the electorate.”
