In July The Temper Trap recorded a performance for Channel [V]’s [V] Live concert series.

The band hit the stage in front of a crowd of 500 fans, including a dedicated bunch who had lined up for seven hours in the rain. Now that’s enthusiasm.

Hosted by Channel [V]’s Danny Clayton, Billy Russell and Kyle Linahan, the 60min show includes favourite songs and backstage interviews.

Fresh off the back of an international tour which saw them play at some of the biggest festivals in the world including Glastonbury and Coachella, The Temper Trap launched into their flawless [V] LIVE set with killer tracks Rest and Fader. The English Renaissance setting of Sydney Town Hall was the perfect juxtaposition for the sonically charged pop beats that pulsated throughout every inch of the room, thumping the bones of guests which included Kasey Chambers, Chit Chat, Jane Gazzo, Axle Whitehead, Amy Meredith, Stuart MacGill and Rachel Friend and Nikki Phillips.

For one solid hour, Dougy Mandagi, Jonathon Aherne, Lorenzo Sillitto and Toby Dundas had the crowd in the palm of their hands as they performed track after track from their critically-acclaimed debut album Conditions including Love Lost, Down River, Science of Fear and the soundtrack to last summer and the APRA Song of the Year for 2010 Sweet Disposition. If that wasn’t enough, The Temper Trap blew everyone’s mind with a shit hot cover of La Roux’s In for the Kill.

If you’re one of the few who haven’t heard of The Temper Trap, then get the hell out of the fall out shelter you’ve been hiding in, buy yourself a copy of their album then tune in to see their kick-arse performance on Channel [V]!

Channel [V] is doing what it does best and giving its audience what they want – live music, for free, from their local and international artists. A [V] Live is an exclusive live music.

It airs on Saturday 11th September at 12noon.
