In case it had slipped your mind, the Golden Globe Awards takes place on Monday.
They will air Live in Australia from 12pm on FOX8 (and yes TV Tonight will be blogging results live, so watch out for ‘spoilers’ if you don’t wanna know).
Host Ricky Gervais says he will again be making profile celebs the butt of his gags.
“Charlie Sheen has obviously put his head above the parapet,” he told Ellen DeGeneres.
“Like last year, Mel Gibson was a gift from the comedy god. So yeah, that’d be two good people out of the audience.
“I only go for the weak and the feeble,” he said. “I’m not going to have a go at Russell Crowe or Mickey Rourke. Mickey Rooney maybe. Betty White, I’m not scared of her. You’ve gotta to choose your targets wisely.”
– and before anybody asks, no there is no Free to Air broadcast due later that night.

Soooo many channels yet no FTA broadcast of important events like the Golden Globes.
Quote: “put his head above the power pit” – should this not be “above the parapet’? 🙂
Good point. Thanks Hollywood Reporter typo.
