  1. George, the spelling of English words has evolved since the time of Chaucer, Shakespeare even invented words and names when he needed them. It is best not to invest too much emotion in something so transient as spelling, and recommended not to use derogatory adjectives to describe our American allies.

  2. Jules, its not an evening wedding. The marriage service begins at 11.00am London time (Friday April 29). The guests start arriving at Westminster Abbey from 8.15am London time.

  3. I am English and I live in Spain and I am holding a tea party to celebrate the Royal Wedding. I think William and Kate are a spark of hope for the British Isles and the future of the monarchy. The wedding will bring joy to us all….something that has been missing since the death of the lovely Diana, William’s mother. God bless them both.

  4. Am I the only one who’s not looking forward to this? Seems like the media has been hyping this up to get something out of it, every second news story. But Channel 7, do we really care if Kate Middleton bought a designer handbag? I, for one, am sick of the networks putting stupid stories in their 6pm news about the Princess’s dress instead of actually reporting stories worth watching. At least SBS plays stories from around the world that affect people, unlike the single minded news teams from 7 and 9.
I saw a poll in the Courier Mail which said 80% of people don’t care about the Royal Wedding. I think news in this country should grow up and start reporting the news with a more internationally orientated persespective. We are a multi-cultural nation for god’s sake.

  5. Who would want to watch the BBC or the ABC BBC feed when we have the likely opportunity to watch Karl and Kochie go head to head with their royal waffle.

  6. That’s quite a comprehensive coverage. I also hear that the ABC will use the BBC feed for the wedding coverage. BTW, the wedding is on April 29 not March 29.
