Renewed: The Amazing Race, Undercover Boss

Two Reality shows get the green light from CBS, including a 19th season for Phil Keoghan and his pitstops.

The Amazing Race and Undercover Boss have both been awarded new seasons from CBS.

TAR will proceed to a 19th season, while Undercover Boss will proceed to a third seasons.

The Amazing Race has averaged 10 million weekly viewers each week, despite tough competition from NFL games. The 18th season “Unfinished Business” has seen teams racing through Sydney and Broken Hill and is presently doing good business with Aussie fans on 7mate.

Undercover Boss has averaged 12.3 million viewers in the US,  down 2% in total viewers.

It is currently airing in Australian on TEN.

Both CBS shows have been adapted to local formats here with The Amazing Race: Australia one of Seven’s biggest guns due to air this year.

  1. Australian viewers would never support such a repetitive format like undercover boss in such large doses the way the americans do. Very surprising considering no network in the US seems to be able to put a foot right with drama.

  2. New season of Amazing Race is another goodie. They consistently keep the standard high.
Anyone know why Kynt decided to empower his name with an ‘e’ to be come Kent?

  3. How did The Amazing Race Season 18 have tough competition from NFL, despite starting on February 20th in the US. Two weeks after the Superbowl (and therefore the end of the NFL season?)
