UK drama series Hustle looks set to come to an end after its eighth series.

The con-man series stars Robert Glenister, Robert Vaughn, Matt Di Angelo, Adrian Lester and Kelly Adams.

But creator Tony Jordan hinted the series could return with a new cast in the future. The show has previously changed a number of cast members and had a break between the fourth and fifth runs.

A spokesperson for production company Kudos confirmed the show is being “rested”, though the BBC is in discussions about the “continued life” of the programme.

The series has aired in Australia on ABC and UK TV.

  1. Hustle is one of my favourite shows, but eight series is longer than I ever expected. They’re in danger of repeating themselves, so it’s definitely time to stop.

Meanwhile I can continue to enjoy Leverage, the US imitator.

  2. I think the series is fantastic but I’m glad its having a rest. After Marc Warren and I can’t remember her name, left I didn’t really watch. I will miss Adrian Lester though, but of course this opens him up to play Doctor Who! (I’m serious.)
