TNA iMPACT! on FUEL TV in June

TNA Impact's male and female wrestlers will switch to FUEL TV in June.

FUEL TV has confirmed TNA iMPACT! will air on its channel from June.

Previously broadcast on FOX8, the series with male and female wrestlers will premiere on Saturday 11 June at 8.30pm.

Adam Howarth, Fuel TV Australia Channel Manager, said “We’re absolutely wrapt to be bringing iMPACT! to FUEL TV and building on our TNA wrestling offering for its legion of fans across the country.

“Since April 2010 we’ve screened the classics series, TNA Epics, and now we’ve secured TNA’s most popular television series which is a massive win for fans. Now they’ll be able to tune into FUEL TV to get their total TNA fix.

“Each episode of TNA iMPACT! will go to air on FUEL TV less than 48 hours after they debut in the U.S., so the turnaround on broadcasts will be fast and Australian fans will be able to keep pace with the series in America.”

  1. WWE offers a family friendly product so that they can keep big money deals with the likes of Mattel and K-Mart going, TNA deliberately go against that as a point of difference, so they get adult viewers who want to see a more mature product but they lose any households with children who may have watched otherwise.

It’s not that WWE only target children. They have characters designed to appeal to kids like John Cena and Rey Mysterio, but other characters are designed for the adults to get behind, it’s just that these characters aren’t allowed to do anything that isn’t also suited to a young audience.

  2. @ Armchair Analyst– umm, how can you agree with both Wes & I when he was having a go at WWE and I was having a go at TNA for being tiny company compared to it that tapes all of it’s shows on a Sound stage at a theme park.

I am much more a WWE fan then a TNA fan and I’m 23 years old. Maybe I’m just not interested in watching wrestlers that were in their prime in 1997?

Also don’t you think it’s a bit “Conspiracy Theory” to say ONE HD stopped airing TNA because WWE didn’t want to be on the same network as its competitor? Before the move to Fuel, TNA & WWE shared Fox8 for a number of years. Maybe ONE HD axed the TNA experience because it wasn’t delivering the ratings it required?

  3. @David Knox. Thanx for that is that because they have the right to WWE Experience and that the WWE would be upset if Ten was airing their rivals show. I agree with Wes and Geoff. TNA is more aimed at adults hense the more hardcore matches and the foul language, the WWE is aimed at the mass market the kids.

  4. @ Wes, compared to the TNA arena at Universal Studios, Orlando which is full of the same 100 fans week in week out, plus the people who have spent the day at the theme park and decided to go watch a free TV taping to finish the day.

Another good thing about this that Fuel has posted on it’s facebook page is that they will air all the “missed” episodes of Impact prior to 11th June with more details still to be announced.

  5. I prefer TNA over WWE. The WWE RAW stadium is full of kids who are fans of John Cena and their parents are probable the kid’s chaperones who the parents might not be wrestling fans at all.

  6. This is good news. If Fuel start messing around with the product then just use you tube its cheaper and easier and the audio and video quality is good.

David does Network Ten still have the rights to TNA explosion?
