New realitycontest Shannons Supercar Showdown will begin this Sunday at 5pm on 7mate.
There are 10 young racing drivers from Australia and around the world, competing in a series of elimination challenges to race at the 2011 Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000 alongside Grant Denyer in a team prepared by Kelly Racing.
The 11 part series, hosted Denyer, was originally scheduled for Saturdays at 4:30pm.

Dam it I missed it to will there be a replay some time
Damn I missed it, now I really hope Seven re-runs it some where.
Those contestants don’t look old enough for their P plates. Also that’s a pretty lame promo, looks very corporate video to me. I’ll still watch though as I am a V8 fan.
This should be on after V8Extra and not stuck 5pm on Sundays, or maybe show it after V8Extra then encore it on 7MATE?
I get the feeling 7 were stuck with a contract for Grant Denyer.
The timeslot will presumably follow on from the V8 broadcast on race weekends.
It does seem a little wasted in that timeslot, I thought they may have tried it on a weeknight.
Sounds interesting. I wonder if they will do this next year to.
