Next week, Virginia Trioli will host a special Q & A: examining God, faith and moral challenges.
She will be joined live on the panel by:
Oxford mathematician and Christian, John Lennox
Palestinian –Australian author, Arwa El Masri
Documentary maker, John Safran
Atheist social commentator, Eva Cox
Pentecostal scholar, Dr. Jacqueline Grey
Although it’s surprising they didn’t ask Geraldine Doogue to host, this is the second hosting by La Trioli (her Twitter handle!).
It airs 9:35pm Monday on ABC1 and is simulcast on ABC News 24.

@Steve – I don’t think so.
I think Geraldine is too serious for Q&A, Virginia Trioli should be good. Hard to replace Tony though
Good to see La Trioli getting more-and-more screen time on the ABC – maybe there *is* a God! 🙂
Has a Buddhist, Hindu or Scientologist ever been on this show?
Fun Fact:
“La” Trioli completed a humble bachelor of arts (cinema studies honours) at a
“La” Trobe university 😀
La Trioli is the best!
Yep, no criticism of her hosting skills here. In fact my comment wasn’t any criticism at all. La Trioli is fun.
I thought Geraldine was great hosting the recent Compass dinner discussion. Hope the ABC utilise her more going forward.
Love the photo.
“But Virginia is not the messiah she is a very very excellent presenter”.
My little take on Monty Python.
@ David – re the hosting decision – I guess Ms Doogue is untried in the format (and you reported a fortnight ago how she’d like to do something more with the Compass theme). It is well known that Ms Doogue is someone who has returned to her Catholic faith, which rules her out in the sense of being an independent moderator. I don’t know La Trioli’s position of spiritual questions. But she has won two Walkley Awards – which must count for something.
