And here is Modern Family‘s new Lily, otherwise known as 4 year old Aubrey Anderson-Emmons, who is set to take over the role from twins Jaden and Ella Hiller in the sitcom’s third season.
Show creator Steven Levitan announced in May that he was looking to replace the twins, because he felt they wanted to do other things and the decision was “what’s best for them.”
Child actor Nolan Gould, who plays Luke Dunphy, said: “The first day I met her, she was kind of hiding behind her mom’s leg and I brought out my iPad and started playing with it and she comes out and she’s like [gasp] and started playing with it.
“It was really cute. I haven’t worked with her yet. But she is really happy. She says lines. She does everything. She’s really cute.”

Hey we’ve seen worse.. remember Becky from Roseanne?
Just thought, it is even more amazing to think the old Lily never cracked a smile, she was played by twins!
She’s a cutie. Let’s hope she has a personality they can utilise. The other child was cute but was just an inanimate prop.
I like the old Lily! This one doesn’t look Vietnamese… (I’m Viet)
Finally, now a Lily that can smile…
Look at that a smile the old lily didn’t do a smile for us. Also nice little storyfron Nolan.
