Wanna buy the house from American Horror Story?

If you have a spare $4.5m floating around you could pick up "murder house" from American Horror Story.

If you have a spare $4.5m floating around you could consider picking up this Alfred F. Rosenheim mansion in Los Angeles -better known as “murder house” from American Horror Story.

The L.A. historic cultural monument located in country club park is described by the agent (the real one this time) as an “irreplaceable masterpiece comprised of a 3-story main house plus a grand ballroom, formerly a chapel, currently used as a recording studio.”

The house has tiffany stained glass windows, a museum-quality set of tiffany glass doors, rich wood paneling, 6 vintage tile fireplaces, a formal dining room with antique gold and silver leaf hand-painted ceilings and a large solarium.

It also has a grisly history of deaths, ghouls and mutilated babies -oh wait, that’s another show.

According to actress Connie Britton the house was used for the show’s Pilot and has since been reconstructed, presumably referring to the interiors.

If you’re in the market for the house be sure to check out the basement.

It’s a killer.

  1. With the current American Real Estate prices and without exaggerating 4.5 Million would buy an entire Suburb in most parts of the Country.
Watching the American Today show property segment last Saturday on 7 Two or Mate, it was truly horrifying, seeing one particular property in New York State with a pool as big as a house and similar to what would still bring 2 million here on the Sunshine Coast listed for $100,000 would bring tears to your eyes.

  2. I read the other day that the set in the studio is an exact replica of the real house. They showed comparison photos of the set and photos of the house interior from last time it was for sale. The only major difference was the kitchen in the real house was quite lame in comparison with little bench space or cupboards.
