Beloved duo Margaret Pomeranz and David Stratton are back for more At the Movies from tomorrow night on ABC1.

Even after celebrating their 25th year on the box together they return to doing what they love best: talking cinema.

Here’s what they are reviewing:

MAN ON A LEDGE – starring Sam Worthington and Elizabeth Banks. As a police psychologist works to talk down an ex-con who is threatening to jump from a Manhattan hotel rooftop, the biggest diamond heist ever committed is in motion…

THE ARTIST – Academy Award Nominee and winner of a Golden Globe for Best Picture is a French comedy-drama directed by Michel Hazanavicius, starring Jean Dujardin and Bérénice Bejo.

ANY QUESTIONS FOR BEN? – starring Rachel Taylor and Josh Lawson and Daniel Henshall and directed by Rob Sitch. A young man starts to questions his privileged but worthless existence when he meets a young woman unlike to type he usually pursues.

MARTHA MARCY MAY MARLENE – stars Elizabeth Olsen and Sarah Paulson and is directed by Sean Durkin. Haunted by painful memories and increasing paranoia, a damaged woman struggles to re-assimilate with her family after fleeing an abusive cult. Interview with writer/director Sean Durkin and actor Elizabeth Olsen.

SHAME – British drama starring Michael Fassbende and Carey Mulligan. Directed by Steve McQueen.

DAVID’S REVIEWS DVD CLASSIC, NEWSFRONT- 1978 Australian classic starring Bill Hunter and Gerard Kennedy and directed by Phillip Noyce.

  1. Margaret and David have exceptionally good on-screen chemistry. Their reviews are also well-written. It’s good to see them coming back for another year.
