TEN appoints Sydney News Director

Paul Patrick from TVNZ will become Director of News (Sydney) for TEN.

Network TEN has announced the appointment of Paul Patrick as Director of News – Sydney.

Patrick is currently Daily Programmes Editor for TVNZ’s news division, where he oversees six daily national news and current affairs programs.  Before joining TVNZ, Patrick spent time in London at Worldwide Television News (now known as APTN) and Radio New Zealand.

Patrick will oversee the local TEN News at Five bulletin, news segments in Breakfast, as well as weekend national news bulletins.

He has stellar editorial and news management skills and brings expertise across a range of news and current affairs formats, including major event coverage, multi-media news delivery and live-to-air event management.”

Patrick added: “After a fantastic stint with New Zealand’s best news gathering organisation, I’m delighted to be joining one of Australia’s most trusted and reputable news outfits. This is an exciting opportunity and I look forward to working with Anthony and the rest of the TEN news team.”

He begins at the end of April.
