The top 25 selections from the 20,000 Big Brother auditionees were flown in to a secret studio location last weekend for photo shoots and screen testing.

The new Housemates will be told who they are next week and will be given one week to get their lives ready for lockdown where they’ll be removed from all contact from the outside world (including television) to quarantine them for entry into the BB House.

This means they won’t know most of the Olympic Games results until they’re evicted.

Any leaks from the 25 will no doubt mean an instant rejection from the casting honchos.

TV Tonight can confirm that amongst the housemates going into the house, the field has narrowed to the following:

QLD: min 2 of them in the BB house.
NSW: min 2 of them in the BB House
VIC: min 2 of them in the BB House
SA: min 1 of them in the BB House
WA: min 1 of them in the BB House

While that doesn’t mean Tassie, NT and ACT contestants are definitely out, it doesn’t mean any are guaranteed a spot either.

  1. To @Hoin to your reply. I also do hope there will not be “loud people” like it always have been it is the most irritating reality show when it comes to loud or these acting like a clown by acting quite imaturity on a big brother show. It has happen before. I hope they wont have these kind of people as much as they dont want muscly type guys and 2 figuire shelars with mini skirts and makeup. But all i can say is.. i hope we do get nice educated smart people. Non of that sillyness or wanna be better then the other one next door. But more educated and more nicer or should i say.. non of that loud irriated people. Not long yet to go for big brother show. By the time you knew it it will start.

  2. @VOS: Yeah I saw that ad and it said there would be no big muscly guys. So I won’t bother watching. I don’t think anybody else will either and Big Brother will quickly join Excess Baggage as another huge Channel Nine flop.

  3. Its good big brother know has the people on a secret lock down as we speak if not mistaken from what ive read. Please correct me if im wrong. I wonder who they are… why they are locked down so early… and where all together or all separated into hotels. Seriously no matter what… these people at the hotels in rooms may aventually leak out finding information about big brother and who and such… because no one can have them like prisoners Unless they have a security guard on every door at the hotel for them to be sure he and she does not have outside contact.

    Also most of the housemates wouldnt careless about the olympic results… unless we have the sporty type muscle mass guys.. which again i wont be too surprise since the bb commercial says no big buff guys.. is this include sporty looking guys as well ?

    I cant wait for the olympic games to end. I dont even watch it. I only watch opening and closing ceremonials.. and end of story. Channel 9 is bizzar with sports.. why not shove the sports stuff on the sports channel for cried out loud.

  4. Jake, a series that lasts eight years is hardly a flop, is it? Cast your mind back to the reality show “The Resort” – now That was a flop. And The Renovators, but at least that one saw out its entire season.

  5. @…anyone who read my comment : To me, TVTonight is a fantastic forum to share our passion for TV. Those passions are sometimes enthusiastic, sometimes critical and I praise David for allowing both. Reading the comments is as important to my TVTonight experience as the actual news David posts.

Pathetic show with absolutely no morals or attributes whatsoever….here’s hoping it flops like last time….I have total confidence that a majority of viewers have better taste and will steer away from this dog of a program…as for those who audioned to enter “that” household….don’t have much to say about them either….enough said…

  9. I’m excited, curious and nervous how this will turn out. I’m not quite sure if 9 are the ones to pull to pull it off but anything will be better than Kyle Sandiland’s season.

  11. Was looking @ google earth yesterday and noticed there is a big brother house in dreamworld you can see! They have a building with big brother logo on it showing nothing but look further up the map and a house is sitting there you can see different open rooms and an open grassed area, dunno if this is the house, it does also have a logo ontop.

  14. I cant wait for Big Brother to begin.I was always a huge fan,so im glad to see it back.It will be interesting to see how its changed from the BB of old and glad that Mike Goldman will be involved.

  15. I’d just like to say I got my tickets to launch show (Sunday August 12th) this morning. I am super excited about it. Given Facebook and Twitter, people will know all about the house mates 24 hours before the launch is shown on tv.
