Andrew Bolt’s relay victory?

If Andrew Bolt is up for an Olympics relay maybe we can be grateful they only come once every four years....

TEN’s Andrew Bolt got into the spirit of the Olympics at the end of The Bolt Report yesterday mimicking the relay, after a floor manager handed him a paper baton.

Bolt couldn’t resist this camp ending just before TEN News rolled.

We can be grateful the Olympics only come once every four years….

  1. @ Rathbone….

I would watch Insiders any day of the week over Bolt. Bolt is rubbish. Insiders is informative. While is its a touch left, there are some very right opinions too.

We want balance in our reporting… Bolt Report is certainly not that.

  2. Rathbone: Firstly you’re entitled to your opinion, and I’m entitled to mine. I don’t recall “writing the show off” in my review, I recall giving it an average review based on a shaky debut episode. I never made any predictions that the show would be axed (far from it with board members actively supporting the show). Bolt Report pulled a higher audience on the weekend than Insiders because it has a replay on Sunday arvos. In the morning head to head battle Insiders wins. All I am doing here is what Bolt does on his own blog, express an opinion. Last I checked, that’s what blogs were for. Thanks.

  3. I’m glad Rathbone has introduced the propaganda word into the discussion. It’s the perfect description for Andrew Bolt’s weekly offering. I just hope Mr Bolt pays TEN good money for his 60 minutes of advertising each week. Surely the network doesn’t pay him!

  4. Interesting that David and company only make derogatory comments about Andrew Bolt. What about the fact that his show actually equals and out rates ABC’s “The Insiders”. Funny thing is, Mr Knox wrote this show off with his initial review: It’s still here and going strong. How about swallowing some pride and admitting the fact that this show is successful. In part because the majority of viewers have found the ABC’s “Insiders” is so out of touch with reality, much like the Gillard/Rudd ALP Government, and so “horribly boring – seen one show, seen them all”. And unlike the Olympics, we tax payers have to see our money wasted on the ALP propaganda machine – the ABC. Eventually reality will sink in, as it is for the ALP. Hopefully an Abbott led government will take up Mark Latham’s offer to drag the ABC into the real world.

  5. Why would Network Ten with their “youthful strategy” even consider airing this self absorbed and poorly produced program in a key early evening lead to News – let alone a repeat ? Another solid decision by Management !

  6. The Olympics might only come once every four years but at least they are worth waiting for. Bolt unfortunately comes twice a week and if you’ve seen one of his shows, you’ve seen them all!

  7. It’s a pity Bolt’s horribly boring show isn’t shown once every four years like the Olympics..He’s the worst presenter on channel 10, and nearly as bad as Henry
